Planning & Zoning

The Flathead County Planning & Zoning Office provides technical planning assistance to Flathead County.  We are administered by the Board of County Commissioners. Our primary responsibilities include assisting in all facets of long range Community and Neighborhood planning, Zoning Administration and Subdivision Review.  We also administer the Flathead County Lakeshore Protection Program and Flathead County Floodplain Program.  Our staff is available to talk about any aspect of development occurring in Flathead County.

BOARD POSITION VACANCIES

BIGFORK LAND USE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Two seats on the Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee (BLUAC) are open for election on May 3, 2022.The term is three years commencing June 1, 2022.

Election filing opens on December 7, 2021 and closes on February 7, 2022. Interested parties must be residents and registered voters within the BLUAC jurisdiction for a minimum of two years. Election forms may be obtained from the Election Department officeat 40 11th Street West, Suite 230, Kalispellor by downloading it from the Election Department’s website http://flathead.mt.gov/election/downloads/forms  2017 Declaration for Nomination-Oath of Candidacy

A Member-at-Large seat on the Bigfork Land Use Advisory
