Flathead County, Montana - Flathead County is honored to announce it has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023.
This prestigious certificate, the highest accolade in governmental accounting and financial reporting, is a testament to Flathead County's dedication to exceptional financial management. The GFOA's Certificate of Achievement program aims to encourage state and local governments to exceed minimum accounting standards, ensuring comprehensive and transparent financial reporting.
Flathead County also received an award for excellence for its employee management in April earlier this year, receiving the runner-up Employer of Choice Award for 2024 from the Flathead Job Service Employers’ Council (JSEC).
