Continuing with established excellence, Flathead County Finance Department again received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 2021-2022. The Flathead County Finance Team was among only three other Montana entities (Bozeman, Butte-Silver Bow and Great Falls) to receive an award.
The Budget Presentation brings all county departments into a single document to understand how taxpayer funds are allocated. “All department heads and elected officials work together on this. It’s a culture of stewardship across the county,” said Pete Melnick, county administrator.
