NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Board of Commissioners of Flathead County, Montana, hereby gives notice, pursuant to Section 76-2-205(1), M.C.A., that it will hold a public hearing to consider a change in the zoning designation in a portion of the Evergreen Zoning District from ‘B-1 Neighborhood/Professional Business’ to ‘B-2 General Business’ and ‘EEO Evergreen Enterprise Overlay’ on a property located at 60 West Reserve Drive near Kalispell, Montana.
The boundaries of the areas proposed to be amended from ‘B-1 Neighborhood/Professional Business’ to ‘B-2 General Business’ and ‘EEO Evergreen Enterprise Overlay’ are described as:
A tract of land, situate, lying and being the Northwest ¼ of the of the Northwest ¼ of Section 33, Township 29 North, Range 21 West, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of said Section 33; thence North 89°59’10” West, 380.10 feet along the North boundary of said Section 33; thence South 00°29’08” West 30.00 feet, parallel to the East boundary of said NW ¼ NW ¼ to the True Point of Beginning of the tract of land being described; thence North 89°59’10” West, 300.00 feet and parallel to the North boundary of said aliquot part; thence South 00°29’08” East 580.80 feet and parallel to the East boundary of said aliquot part; thence South 89°59’10” East 300.00 feet and parallel with the north boundary of said aliquot part; thence North 00°29’08” West 580.80 feet and parallel with the East boundary of said aliquot part to the Point of Beginning.

The regulations defining the B-1, B-2, and EEO zones are contained in the Flathead County Zoning Regulations on file for public inspection at the Office of the Board of Commissioners, 800 South Main, Room 302, Kalispell, Montana, at the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office, 40 11th Street West, Kalispell, Montana, and on the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office’s website at: https://flathead.mt.gov/department-directory/planning-zoning/zoning-information. Documents related to the proposed zone change are also on file for public inspection at the Commissioners’ Office and at the Flathead County Planning and Zoning Office.
The public hearing will be held on the 24th day of September, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Chambers, Third Floor, Courthouse, Kalispell, Montana. At the public hearing, the Board of Commissioners will give the public an opportunity to be heard regarding the proposed change to the Evergreen Zoning District.
Written comments are encouraged and will be reviewed by the Commissioners if received prior to the hearing.
