Fingerprinting

Children's Advocacy Center

The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) allows the capability for centralized services. Children receive forensic interviews and forensic medical exams at the CAC in a child-friendly environment. The CAC utilizes a Multidisciplinary Team to provide comprehensive services to victims of child abuse.

Concealed Weapons Permit

Please note that to be eligible for a Flathead County Concealed Weapons Permit, you must first be a Montana resident for six (6) months and you must currently reside in Flathead County.

Office walk-ins are welcome for new and renewal applications on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am - 2 pm and by appointment on Wednesdays from 9 am - 3 pm.

Braveheart Chaplain Ministry

Besides responding to traumatic situations and providing emotional and logistical support to citizens in need, a chaplain to emergency services personnel also provides support to first responders in their daily duties. Because their vocation brings them face-to-face with crises, stress is a built-in part of a first responder’s vocation.

Complaint or Commendation

Customers, such as you, are valuable eyes and ears for our community and its Sheriff’s Office. We respect your input, both good and bad. Whenever you see Sheriff’s Office employee actions which you believe we should be aware of, please report those to us. The Sheriff’s Office does accept anonymous information, but we would prefer you provide us with your identity. Anonymous reports are investigated only to the extent which the information allows; which may not be satisfactory to you or the Office. We strive to complete complaint investigations promptly. When the investigation is completed, you will be notified of the outcome.

The WISEWOMAN (Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for Women Across the Nation) program was created to help women understand and reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke by providing services to promote heart-healthy lifestyles.

CONNECT

CONNECT is a secure, web-based referral system for sending and receiving referrals that is HIPAA, FERPA, 42CFR, and IDEA compliant. The system is available at no cost to approved organizations that make client referrals. The goal of CONNECT is to reduce common barriers for external referrals and increase client uptake in services. The system closes the loop in care coordination.

Bike Helmets

The Health Department currently has a limited number of bicycle helmets available on a donation basis for children 12 and under.

Sharps

The Flathead County Sharps Program is a partnership between the Flathead City-County Health Department and the Flathead County Solid Waste Department. The program exists to promote safe and proper disposal of needles in Flathead County.

Individuals can pick up sharps containers free of charge at one of the participating pharmacies. Once filled, individuals can either return their sharps containers to the pharmacy OR dispose of them at the designated disposal site at the Flathead County Landfill.

Veteran Directed Care Program

The Veteran Directed Care Program (VDC) empowers Veterans to hire and supervise care providers (may be a family member) to help with daily needs. This program is a partnership between the Department of Veterans Affairs, who determines eligibility and establishes participant budgets. All VA enrolled veterans, regardless of age, are eligible if they meet the clinical need for the VDC program. Once approved by the VA, an Agency on Aging Care Coordinator will work with the Veteran to develop a self-directed plan of care and will provide ongoing support to manage the care plan. State Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
Assistance with Medicare/Medicaid and supplemental insurance. We help with finding the best Part D (prescription) plan to meet your needs.

Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)
This is a project that recruits volunteers to learn about the Medicare system and teaches beneficiaries how to read their insurance statements. This program is meant to help fight fraud, waste, and abuse in the insurance field.
