Alcohol Sales Service Training

Responsible alcohol sales and service training are mandatory in the state of Montana. Liquor license holders must ensure that all employees who serve or sell alcohol, their immediate supervisor, and the licensee if they serve or sell themselves, are trained through a state-approved training provider.

Alive at 25

Preventing death among teen drivers and young adults is the mission of Alive at 25. This highly interactive course encourages drivers between the ages of 14 and 24 to take responsibility for their own driving behavior.

Alive at 25 was adopted by Montana in January 2009. The program has proven effective at reducing young driver crashes, injuries, and fatalities.

Tobacco Use Prevention

As a contractor of the Montana Tobacco Use Prevention Program, Flathead City-County Health Department’s approach toward tobacco use prevention includes the following:

  • Prevent tobacco use among youth
  • Eliminate disparities related to tobacco use among populations
  • Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke
  • Encourage people to quit

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

The Montana Cancer Screening Program pays for breast and cervical cancer screenings for people who qualify based on age, income, and insurance status. Screening services include clinical breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests. Diagnostic testing is provided for the follow-up of abnormal screening tests. We partner with local providers, which means that you can see whoever you want, and it will be just like a regular appointment.

Our staff is available to guide you through the screening process, even if you do not qualify based on age, income, and insurance status.

Montana Asthma Program

The Montana Asthma Program (MAP) provides free services to help children, adults, and their families learn how to better manage asthma in their daily lives.

Travel Immunizations

Meet with one of our travel nurses for a specialized travel consultation before you on your trip outside of the United States. Depending on your destination, you may need vaccinations to help protect you from food, waterborne, and insect-borne diseases that are common in certain countries.

Some of the vaccinations provided include:

  • Yellow Fever
  • Typhoid
  • Japanese encephalitis
  • Meningitis
  • Hepatitis A & B
  • Tetanus

Please bring a copy of your travel itinerary to your appointment so that the nurse can help determine which vaccines you should receive.

Immunizations

The Flathead City-County Health Department provides immunizations for all ages. Immunizations are currently available by appointment only on the following days:

Monday and Friday 9:00-12:00 and 1:30 to 4:00pm

Thursday 1:00-4:30 pm

*Please note that appointments for TB Tests will only be available on Mondays and Fridays.

  • Certified copies of death certificates are available through this office for all Montana Counties from 2003.
  • Genealogy copies are available for Flathead County only.
  • A certified copy is $7.00 each, and may be obtained online or by mail.
  • Anyone requesting an informational or certified copy of a vital record must present a valid ID.
  • If additional assistance is needed, and you require a meeting with staff, please contact our offices to schedule an appointment.

Teen Clinic

Teen Clinic every Monday from 3:00-5:00 PM and is for guys and girls 19 and younger. No appointment is necessary!

What if I can’t come to Teen Clinic during Teen Clinic hours?
No problem! Make an appointment to be seen during non-teen clinic hours.

Meals on Wheels

This is a service that provides the homebound (persons unable to leave their home without assistance) with hot, nutritious noon meals delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday. Special diets such as diabetic, low cholesterol or other special needs may be accommodated.
