Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

The Montana Cancer Screening Program pays for breast and cervical cancer screenings for people who qualify based on age, income, and insurance status. Screening services include clinical breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests. Diagnostic testing is provided for the follow-up of abnormal screening tests. We partner with local providers, which means that you can see whoever you want, and it will be just like a regular appointment.

Our staff is available to guide you through the screening process, even if you do not qualify based on age, income, and insurance status.

To enroll, please fill out the enrollment form, and either mail it or drop it off at the following address:

COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment

COVID-19 vaccines will be available by appointment on Tuesdays at the Flathead City-County Health Department.

Please fill this form out for each individual who is in need of an appointment.

Early Literacy Classes

Sing, dance, read, and explore in fun and interactive classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers that help prepare them for future learning success. Hands-on activities to follow storytime. Especially for children 0-5 and their grown-ups. Available in Bigfork, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell.

Class or Group Library Visit

During your tour or group visit to ImagineIF, we can provide:

  • Stories and book talks for preschoolers through eighth graders.
  • A tour of the building highlighting resources appropriate for preschool through twelfth grade.
  • An overview of resources in a subject area.
  • Library card registration: Please see the section on library cards below.

We appreciate at least two weeks notice of groups coming to use the library, even if you don’t need any special services. We cannot schedule your visit more than three months in advance.

Science Connect

ImagineIF is excited to announce Science Connect: Lending Tools For Discovery, a new experience at ImagineIF that encourages adults and families to make science happen through exploration and participation in real research projects. Through the Science Connect program, the community is encouraged to take part in Citizen Science, the participation and collaboration of the public in scientific research to increase scientific knowledge.

Tech Connect

ImagineIF Libraries is excited to offer Tech Connect, another great solution to help meet your needs for free access to information. You can check out a Wi-Fi Hotspot to connect to the internet wherever there is cellular service. Kits containing an iPad and a Wi-Fi Hotspot are also available for checkout. Call or stop into any ImagineIF location to place a hold on a device.

Flathead Grows Seed Library

Flathead Grows! Seed Library, creating a better quality of life through health, relationships, and a sustainable connection to local food resources.

We’re excited to announce our partnership with the Good Seed Company to bring the Flathead Grows! Seed Library to ImagineIF Columbia Falls. Stop in, get free seeds, grow locally, and enjoy!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Take seeds – Take a seed packet or two, a few seeds will grow a great harvest.
  2. Grow – Need help? Take a flyer, attend a workshop, or find a book, we have resources!
  3. Enjoy – Harvest your veggies, trim your herbs, and smell your flowers.

Book a Meeting Room

The meeting room is available to book on

  • Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am-6pm;
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-6pm; and
  • Saturdays from 10am-5pm.

Gatherings of up to 20 people.

Homebound Service

ImagineIF, in a partnership with the Friends of the Library, provides home delivery of library materials to customers who are unable to visit the library due to age, illness, accident, or disability. The Homebound Service may be provided temporarily or long-term.

Liquor License

Establishments must register with the State of Montana first at (406) 444-6900. Fee is based on the determination of the State and is paid to both the State and the County.

Transient Vendor

Issued to persons selling wares at temporary locations within the County, but outside the City limits.

  • $25/week per location.

Food trucks operating outside of city limits: $25 per week.

Issued to persons going door-to-door or business-to-business selling their wares, within the County.

  • Cost: $25 every 90 days

Issued to persons operating a firework stand between the following dates:

  • June 24th through July 5th: $50 per stand
  • December 29th through 31st: $25 per stand

  • Rides must be scheduled on weekdays between 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM.
  • Riders 10 years old and younger must be accompanied.
  • Pre-scheduled rides are accepted up to 3 weeks in advance.
  • Rides are first come first serve based on time availability.
  • Columbia Falls On-Demand - 9:00 AM - 3:30 (Monday - Friday)
  • Whitefish On-Demand - 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
