Mission:
The mission of the daycare and school program is to reduce the incidence of accidents or illnesses related to daycares and schools through education and enforcement of safe practices. This is accomplished through conducting inspections of facilities, providing education to operators and investigating complaints.

SCHOOL INSPECTIONS & RESOURCES for SCHOOLS
Flathead City-County Health Department endeavors to inspect schools within the county as provided for under MCA 50-1-203 & 50-1-206. School inspections are conducted accompanied by school staff and focus on health and safety issues including safe water, adequate waste disposal, air quality, food safety and playground safety.

DPHHS Childcare Licensing Program
The role of the Child Care Licensing (CCL) program is to monitor, inspect, and support licensed and registered childcare facilities, as well as those working to become licensed or registered. Additionally, CCL establishes regulations for the health, safety, and well-being of the children in these facilities. All licensed or registered programs receive a pre-inspection prior to providing care, ongoing monitoring, and an annual inspection, and complaints are followed up on.
