On September 14, 2023, the Flathead County Commissioners voted on the acquisition of property located at 305 Wiley Dike Road and the Interlocal Agreement with the Lakeside Water and Sewer District.
During the session, county staff and representatives from the Lakeside Water and Sewage District fielded questions from the commissioners and provided clarification. They emphasized that throughout the year, they had diligently evaluated over a dozen properties, and after thorough consideration, the Wiley Dike property emerged as the most suitable choice. It met several key criteria, including adequate acreage, cost-effectiveness, accessibility to roads and the sewage district, as well as a reliable water source.
