Phone Call Scam
Kalispell, MT – The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office has fielded multiple phone calls from citizens receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be “Deputy Morrison” or “Deputy Buls” who tells them they have a warrant for their arrest and they must pay for the warrant using gift cards. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office DOES NOT ask people to pay for their arrest warrants using gift cards or in any other way over the phone. A deputy may call someone who actually has a warrant and ask them to turn themselves in, but we will never ask for payment over the phone, this is a SCAM.
