A Quarter Century of Dedication: Keith Hall Jr.’s 25 Years with Flathead County Road and Bridge
Milestone anniversaries are an opportunity to reflect not just on an individual’s career but on the values that make a workplace thrive. Keith Hall Jr. recently marked 25 years with the Flathead County Road and Bridge Department, evidence of both his dedication and the purpose he finds in public service.
Born and raised in Kalispell, Keith has spent his life in the Flathead Valley, drawn to its outdoor opportunities and his deep family ties. His love for hunting and camping blends seamlessly with his appreciation for the land he helps maintain. When he joined the Bridge Department as a truck driver in 1999, he brought with him years of experience in concrete, sand, and gravel work - skills that both got him in the door and would serve him well as he advanced within the county. Today, as Bridge Supervisor, he oversees a five-man team responsible for the maintenance and repair of 73 bridges across the county.
What keeps Keith engaged after all these years? The variety. From dig-outs to bridge repairs, every day brings a new challenge. His team works tirelessly to ensure the county’s infrastructure remains safe and reliable, whether that means patching bridges, maintaining culverts, or repairing guardrails.
Equally important to Keith is the team culture. “There is an equality among the crew. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been here 5 years or 15, everyone respects and values each other,” Keith explains. He takes pride in learning new ways to tackle challenges and collaborating with his team to complete projects that directly impact public safety and mobility.
Looking ahead, Keith plans to reevaluate his path when he reaches his 30-year mark. But one thing is certain: he and his wife have no plans to leave Kalispell. With deep family roots and a love for the community, they can’t imagine calling anywhere else home.
Keith’s story reflects what makes Flathead County a great place to work. It’s not just about the job—it’s about the people, the community, and the satisfaction of contributing to something bigger. As he continues his career, his commitment serves as an example of the dedication and pride that make our county strong.
