🚨 Road Closure Notice 🚨
Flathead County Road and Sheriff's Department will be closing Hodgson Road from Trumble Creek Road to just east of the Whitefish River today, February 4. The gates will be closed between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM (noon). Drivers in the area should plan accordingly and avoid travel in this area.
Hodgson Road is expected to reopen on Thursday, but this may change depending on weather conditions.
Additionally, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area in effect until February 5 at 9:00 AM. Stay updated: https://alerts.weather.gov/
❄️ What to Expect:
🔹 Flathead Valley: 4-8 inches of snow
🔹 Southern Flathead Lake & Mission Valley: 12-18 inches
🔹 Winds: 15-25 mph, gusts up to 35 mph
🔹 Wind Chills: As low as -15°F
⚠️ Major Impacts:
🚗 Travel may be exceptionally dangerous—avoid unnecessary travel if possible. Whiteout conditions possible, especially near Flathead Lake and Mission Valley.
❄️ Drifting snow will impact US-93, Highway 35, and Highway 28.
