No new meetings regarding the Somers Neighborhood Plan or planning process have been scheduled at this time. The Planning & Zoning Office awaits guidance from the Commissioners on how best to proceed with the Somers neighborhood plan, in light of recent allegations and calls for clarification regarding Chapter 10 of the Growth Policy and the appropriate level of staff involvement throughout the neighborhood planning process. The Planning & Zoning office will continue to accept postcard feedback and other comments regarding the Somers neighborhood plan, and continues to encourage all community residents and landowners to participate in the neighborhood planning process if and when it moves forward. Depending on the level of community interest and support for a plan, as well as and guidance received from our County Commissioners, we will make every effort to notify area residents of the date, time and location of future informational meetings regarding the Somers Neighborhood Plan.
