Ashley Lake Neighborhood Plan
The Ashley Lake Neighborhood Plan, adopted in 1997, serves as a non-regulatory document that provides a vision on how growth should occur in the Ashley Lake area, now and into the future. The Flathead County Growth Policy adopted in 2007 required all neighborhood plans be reviewed and updated. The Ashley Lake Neighborhood Plan has not been reviewed and updated since originally adopted in 1997, over 13 years ago. This effort to update and revise the plan is being done to reflect changes in the area and to be consistent with the Flathead County Growth Policy.
The Ashley Lake Land Use Advisory Committee appreciates and encourages all public participation.

The Flathead County Planning Board held a public workshop on March 16, 2011 to review the draft plan and offer comments and suggestions to members of the land use advsiory committee. Following this workshop, committee members reviewed all comments and made necessary edits to the draft neighborhood plan update during their monthly meetings. During a recent public meeting held on Thursday, April 28th, 2011, the Ashley Land Use Advisory Committee voted unanimously to forward the final draft plan and formal application to the Planning and Zoning Office. A file has been created and the Ashley Lake Neighborhood Plan update will begin the formal review process before the Flathead County Planning Board and Flathead County Commissioners this spring and summer.
Letters announcing the final draft plan update and future meeting dates/times were mailed to property owners within the Ashley Lake Neighborhood Plan area on June 30th, 2011; a copy of the letter sent to all property owners can be found by visiting the following link:
